Welcome Precinct 2052 Democrats!

Thank you for taking the time to give this new blog a quick visit! My name is Eddie Hightower and I am your new Democratic Precinct Chair for 2052 (and, of course, a neighbor!). I have lived in this area for nearly 10 years, and looking forward to helping you connect with candidates and issues so that you can make informed decisions and most importantly, show up to VOTE!

Last night, February 2nd, I attended the quarterly meet up for Precinct Chairs with the Dallas County Democratic Party. The energy was great, having just come off the stunning upset win for Democrat Taylor Rehmet, a union machinist and U.S. Air Force veteran, who won this past Saturday’s special election in the conservative area in Tarrant County near Dallas by more than 14 percentage points over Republican activist Leigh Wambsganss, whom President Donald Trump had urged voters to rally behind.

We want to keep that momentum going into the quickly approaching elections!

You may or may not have been keeping up with the shenanigans from the Republican Party in messing with our typical “vote anywhere” approach in Dallas County, but essentially, if you wait to vote until election day (don’t!!) on March 3rd, you will have to vote at your assigned polling location – which may have changed due to precinct consolidations.

The main message is this: VOTE DURING EARLY VOTING, which starts February 17th and runs through February 27th!

Looking forward to connection with each of you! Feel free to call me or email me with any questions or if you want to learn more about how you can get involved!
